Kaspa Smart Contracts Go Live – Network Surges

Hey, welcome to Kaspa Daily Pulse – here’s what the Kaspa community’s been buzzing about today.

First up: smart contracts actually went live on Kasplex L2 and folks could see activity kick in almost immediately. Several members spotted blocks full of L2 transfers – many showing that quirky “~1,997.97–1,999.9 KAS” pattern – and celebrated a jump from roughly 10 TPS to around 60, while reminding everyone the network’s barely at ~1% capacity. “It’s working” was the mood… with the usual mix of cheers and side-eye.

Second: bridges, fees, and UX – the day’s hot potato. Users tested both the KEF and Kasplex routes. Net takeaway? You can on-ramp with Kasware/MetaMask and off-ramp requires MetaMask; many had to manually add the custom network. Fees sparked debate: it appears to be ~0.5 KAS flat going in and ~0.5% coming out, contrary to some docs/screens that implied otherwise. Some said transfers landed in under a minute; others grumbled about stuck loaders and antivirus flags on new sites. One tracker flex: “bridge already holds ~3M KAS,” later chatter claimed ~5.8M was circulating on L2.

Third: builders and degen toys. Names flying around included Zealous Swap/Zeal DEX, KSPR, kas.fun, KFC DEX, kaspacom, plus Moonbound and more – with a “pumpfun-style” launchpad on lfg.kaspa.com drawing eyes. Some UIs connected smoothly; others felt clunky; and yes, the first meme-token rugs/jokes arrived within hours. Early days, but the conveyor belt is moving.

Fourth: Kasia stole some spotlight. Broadcasters said on-chain chats felt “smoother than Discord,” and one dev received a 2,000 KAS donation to push iOS work and notifications. Archival nodes reported storing an extra ~2 GB per day from all the chatter – a very tangible sign of usage. It’s messages as transactions… and people loved the nerdiness of that.

Fifth: price vibes. Community-posted snapshots showed KAS up roughly 4–6% at one point – around “about 8 cents” – but opinions split between “mini pump, fade incoming” and “give it a few days to sink in.” Many warned that SC launches often dip before real builders ship. Classic crypto mood whiplash.

Quick safety note: multiple voices urged caution – closed-source bits, unknown multisig details, and “use fresh wallets, not your main,” especially while tooling hardens. DYOR before bridging, degening, or LPing.

That’s it for today’s pulse. Let’s see what tomorrow brings. Catch you then.
