Kaspa security fears spike as drama takes over the community

Hey, welcome to Kaspa Daily Pulse – here’s what the Kaspa community’s been buzzing about today.

So, first big thing: security anxiety around exchanges and cards. One user shared a pretty scary story about their Bybit virtual MasterCard suddenly showing a blocked forty-nine-euro transaction they never made. Support confirmed the attempt and told them to freeze the card and even pay a fee if it was “lost.” That shook their trust hard – they’re now talking about pulling Kaspa off Bybit and moving to cold or safer hot wallets like Kaspium, and eyeing Tangem hardware wallets instead.

That rolled into a whole side chat on Tangem Pay – people are hyped about a future crypto Visa that’s tightly linked to a hardware wallet, with virtual cards and Apple/Google Pay support… but also joking nervously that Tangem’s Swiss address looks like “just a mailbox.” Still, the vibe is: exchanges and cards feel fragile, self-custody feels safer.

Next up, sentiment is extra cooked today. Folks are throwing around numbers like five cents being “the good days,” waiting to buy back at three cents, and even joking about Kaspa going to one cent or lower. Someone quipped that by the year twenty-one hundred, one Kas will be worth four billion dollars… but a loaf of bread will cost a thousand, so your grandkids can only buy “about fourteen loaves.” Another miner says they’re getting about zero-point-nine Kas a day, while another mines between eighty and a hundred a day but loses around six dollars daily – and still keeps going. “Kaspa only makes homelessness,” they joke, but they also say their bag grows every week and drop the classic line: “one KAS equals one KAS.”

On the builder side, there is real work happening. One dev is designing a point-of-sale system that supports three payment rails – cash, Kaspa and EFTPOS terminals – plus three different data modes: cloud via Supabase, fully local storage, and self-hosted servers. The whole crew debated offline vs online syncing, fraud risks, and databases like IndexedDB and SQLite. Kasia wallet even came up as an example of using IndexedDB under the hood, and someone asked “wen Kasia on iOS?” – answer for now: not yet.

And finally, ongoing influencer and politics drama. Shai is still living rent-free in heads: people complain that he keeps FUDing Kaspa on X while claiming he still holds, hinting he has “dirt” on others but never actually dropping it. Several said they’ve unfollowed him already and are happier with a cleaner feed. There’s even talk of a hypothetical Netflix-style documentary about the Kaspa–KEF–Shai saga, plus older CZ/Dubai beef as side plots. Underneath the memes, it’s clear a chunk of the community is just… over the drama and wants to focus on building and surviving this bear stretch.

That’s it for today’s pulse. Let’s see what tomorrow brings. Catch you then.
