BitGo confirms Kaspa: still a nothing burger?

Hey, welcome to Kaspa Daily Pulse, here's what the Kaspa community's been buzzing about today.

First up, BitGo became one of the day’s biggest talking points. Community members said Kaspa support is confirmed through BitGo’s GitHub, providing institutional infrastructure that could support custody and potential investment products. That sounds significant, but the mood stayed cautious. Several people called it a “nothing burger” until there is concrete evidence that an institution is actually accumulating or holding KAS through BitGo. So, the infrastructure appears to be there, but confirmed demand is still missing.

Next, Kaspa has been attracting noticeably more attention on X. One participant counted seven large accounts, each with more than one hundred thousand followers, posting about KAS. The Gemini podcast episode featuring Kaspa Silver reportedly generated around seven thousand posts, compared with roughly two thousand for unrelated episodes. Is this genuine interest, paid promotion, or simple engagement farming? Nobody produced strong evidence either way. There was also NO official Gemini listing announcement, despite plenty of speculation.

The bigger conversation focused on what Kaspa needs next. Fast transactions alone were widely viewed as insufficient. Community members repeatedly brought up stablecoins, KUSD, USDC, covenants, shielded addresses, zero-knowledge applications, credit cards, and payment apps that hide the crypto complexity from ordinary users. One proposed experience would let people see euros or dollars while Kaspa quietly handles settlement underneath. Kaspa KII was mentioned as pursuing a similar model for institutions, including cross-currency settlement on Kaspa.

The building discussion was not entirely theoretical. People floated ideas for covenant-secured cold wallets, zero-knowledge payment tools, and consumer apps. One participant also noted that Kaspa’s first hackathon reportedly attracted more participants than Ethereum’s first hackathon, despite having a much smaller prize pool.

Finally, sentiment remains sharply divided. Bears pointed to a three-year decline, weak product adoption, mining concerns, and KAS trading around the low two-cent range. Bulls argued that KAS has recently shown relative strength against Bitcoin, with the KAS-to-Bitcoin pair reportedly up about 1.7 percent today. A yearly comparison shared in chat put KAS down roughly 41 percent, versus Ethereum at 49 percent, Solana at 51 percent, and Bitcoin at 34 percent.

So, cautious optimism... but the community wants working products, stablecoin liquidity, and real institutional usage, not more speculation.

That's it for today's pulse. Let's see what tomorrow brings. Catch you then.
