Kaspa Under Pressure but Belief Won’t Break

Hey, welcome to Kaspa Daily Pulse – here’s what the Kaspa community’s been buzzing about today.
Today really felt like macro took the wheel. A sudden dump got pinned on the Fed, with one person pointing out that the VIX jumped 11% in minutes, and from there the mood turned sharply risk-off. Traders were talking about max shorts on ETH, bearish setups on BTC, and the sense that Kaspa still cannot break a very important resistance on the KAS-BTC chart. It did not read like total panic... more like exhausted traders bracing for one more ugly leg if the broader market keeps slipping.
The most interesting debate, though, was about identity. One side of the chat argued that Kaspa has basically become a follower of Bitcoin and lost its independence. That got immediate pushback. The response was that KAS may be correlated to BTC, but that does not make it a “common currency,” especially compared with projects described in the chat as pre-mined, VC-backed, or controlled by validator cartels. So even with weak price action, the deeper conviction argument is still very much alive: price may follow Bitcoin for now, but some holders still believe the fundamentals put Kaspa in a different category.
That long-term conviction came through again when the roadmap talk kicked in. People were still name-checking Dagknight, Toccata, 100 BPS, and Warpcore as major reasons to stay bullish. One especially ambitious message framed Kaspa as a future base layer for everything from finance and Web3 to gaming, energy, AI, robotics, transportation, and healthcare. Whether you agree with every piece of that giant vision or not, it tells you something important about the room today: this community is not just watching candles. A lot of them still see KAS as infrastructure.
At the same time, there was a clear undercurrent of frustration about where attention and liquidity are going right now. Several traders were openly more excited about AI stocks, AI perps, and dex farming than about holding Kaspa through chop. That matters, because it helps explain the tone: belief in KAS is still there, but the market’s focus feels scattered, and some of the faster money is clearly chasing other narratives.
So the headline today is pretty simple: short-term fear, long-term faith. Kaspa holders sounded bruised, defensive on price, but still loud on the bigger vision.
That’s it for today’s pulse. Let’s see what tomorrow brings. Catch you then.
