Kaspa Wallet Scare Sparks Major Debate

Hey, welcome to Kaspa Daily Pulse – here’s what the Kaspa community’s been buzzing about today.
First up… the biggest real story in the chat was a wallet scare that turned into a relief rally. Somebody was said to have lost 0.5 Bitcoin and 3 million Kaspa after deleting a Tangem wallet… and for a minute that had people imagining absolute disaster. But then the update came through: the funds were recovered on the last working card. Massive sigh of relief there. That kicked off a bigger conversation around wallet safety, seed phrases, splitting funds across multiple wallets, and not trusting a single point of failure. A few people were also pretty skeptical of public sob stories and donation narratives around lost funds, even while saying they were glad the coins were recovered.
Second, the mood on Kaspa itself felt very mixed today… but definitely not dead. You had the usual moon energy — people begging for Kaspa to move, talking about 400 cents, talking about a dollar, talking about holding “until 3142” — but at the same time, there was frustration that KAS feels stuck. One person dropped a specific snapshot saying Kaspa was sitting at about 10.7 cents and ranked 1,369 on CMC. Others were throwing out very different short-term takes: one person said dumping is likely next week, while another said if the screens keep showing more green than red, Kaspa could get back to 10 cents and then 20 cents in a couple of weeks. So the vibe today was basically: long-term conviction still strong… short-term confidence, a LOT shakier.
Third, there was some genuinely interesting technical chatter. A chunk of the discussion focused on Bitcoin’s BIP-361 and quantum risk, and that spilled into Kaspa comparisons. Some people argued that if Bitcoin handles this badly, it could damage confidence and push people toward alternatives… and Kaspa was explicitly named as that alternative. There was also a side discussion on whether Kaspa is quantum resistant, with one take saying it should be fine if addresses aren’t reused, but that it’s not officially quantum safe yet. On top of that, there was builder talk: Kaspa’s UTXO model, zk scripts, a possible Twitter tipping system, native stablecoins making adoption easier, and one very ambitious post claiming Dagknight could eventually make Kaspa a base layer for everything from finance to gaming to AI. Big vision stuff.
And one last small note: somebody mentioned another 30,000 Kaspa going into the Kastle wallet… so even with all the complaining, people are clearly still parking coins and staying engaged.
That’s it for today’s pulse. Let’s see what tomorrow brings. Catch you then.
